Largest winning trade
The single most profitable position closed during the testing period. This metric identifies the strategy's maximum "upside" capture from a single market move.
Exclusions: This metric strictly considers closed positions. It does not account for currently open trades, even if those trades are currently exceeding the historical maximum.
Strategic value: While impressive, a "Largest winning trade" that accounts for a massive portion of your total Net P&L can be a warning sign. It may suggest that the strategy’s success relies on a "lucky" outlier rather than a repeatable, consistent edge.
