This is an educational script created to demonstrate few basic building blocks of a trend based strategy and how to achieve different entry and exit types. My initial intention was to create a comprehensive strategy template which covers all the aspects of strategy. But, ended up creating fully fledged strategy based on trend following.
This is an enhancement on ...
This moving average uses a gradient function which calculates the number of advances/declines of the moving average to change the intensity of the colors, meaning a longer trend in either direction will show a stronger color. You can choose 3 colors to build the gradient: a bullish, bearish & neutral/transition color. The number of steps chosen will change the...
™TradeChartist MA Visualizer is a Moving Average based indicator aimed to visualize price action in relation to the Moving Average in a visually engaging way.

How it works
Playzone is a very simple system, utilizing just two exponential moving
averages. The 'Zones' in which different 'actions' should be taken is
highlighted with different colors on the chart. Calculations for the zones
are based on the relative position of price to the two EMA lines and the
relationship between the two EMAs
How to use
This is standard EMA script available on Trading View and i have just added ability to add a channel based on standard deviation. In addition to it you can enable/disable optional lines from options and it would add 50% levels of upper and under channel. I added 50% as it provide important price levels if you have right settings selected for channel factor.
This strategy idea uses the famous Ichimoku Cloud (Forward-shifted SMA-9 and SMA-26) and Chiku (52-candle lagged close price) with its default parameters. This strategy is slow and issues few signals. However, this is one of the most performant long-term trend trading strategies. It usually works well on 1D and 4H timeframes and even better on trending...
This is a diversified Binary Option or Scalping Alert indicator originally designed for lower Time Frame Trend or Swing trading. Although you will find it a useful tool for higher time frames as well.
The Alerts are generated by the changing direction of the ColouredMA (HullMA by default), you then have the choice of selecting the Directional filtering on these...
While analysing the charts, one of the biggest problem is to see if there is trend or not, or is it in a congestion zone/area? While thinking about it, I found the idea to analyse moving averages in channel and their momentum according to channel width.
How it calculates and works?
On each bar it creates a channel by highest/lowest point of...
This is an experimental adaptive trend following study inspired by Giorgos Siligardos's Reverse Engineering RSI and Tushar S. Chande's Variable Moving Average.
In this study, reverse engineered RSI levels are calculated and used to generate a volatility index for VMA calculation.
First, price levels are calculated for when RSI will equal 70 and 30. The...
This is a great tool to find confluences between Fibonacci Pivot point on various time frames.
Fib Pivots used
If price is between two levels on the update the lines shift
Yearly Pivots shown on 1m - Daily timeframes
PIvots recalculate on every day
Monthly pivots show on 1m - 60m timeframes
Another original idea is here with you. Actualy I can say that it's a breakout strategy that uses multiple Pivot Point's averages.
How it works?
- it finds the Pivot Points, you can set the length as you want
- it gets averages of Pivot Highs and Pivot Lows, you can set the number of Pivot Points to be included
- it compares the current closing...
Using combination bollinger band and RSI indicator as guide to predict price volatility and the best entry point. The strategy logic is pretty straightforward where we're interested with close price that touches the lower bollinger band ; there are only two scenarios that will happened after the price reaches the lower band; the price might rebound from the lower...
" The trend is your friend. " This is one of the most famous and valuable teachings that experienced traders can give to newbies. There is a reason for that.
No matter your views about where the price moves, what matters is where the price heads to . The market is always right, and ultimately it decides who gets the profit and who has to take a loss.
What is it?
An indicator that depicts the trend of up to 5 higher timeframes on the same chart without needing to context-switch between charts.
- Supports up to 5 timeframes
- Trends indicated by 5 colored buttons: one for each timeframe
- Varying shades of green: uptrend
- Varying shades of red: downtrend
This strategy takes the ADX Indicator I wrote and applies it to a strategy for back testing purposes.
I've also applied a date filter so you can back test specific date ranges and a moving average filter so you can choose whether to filter your longs/shorts based on a moving average.
This indicator identifies trends in multiple higher timeframes (D, W, M) and shows them in a widget off to the right of the chart.
It's meant to be used as an alternative filter for "trading with the trend." Typically people use moving averages of varying lengths for this (i.e. if over 200 MA it's an uptrend, etc.), but I wanted to see if it might be more...
The intent of this strategy is to buy breakouts with a tight stop on smaller timeframes in the direction of the longer term trend. Default longer term trend is the daily, but the user can choose any timeframe to use for the SMAs (which act as filters and trailing stops).
Exit the trade using a trailing stop of a close below either the 10 MA or 20 MA (user...

There are 2 Keltner Channels with exponential moving averages of 21 (riva) and 89 (rock) and ATR multiplier of 0.618.
When the price is between the bands, it is a sign of consolidation (yellow).
When the price is above the bands, it is an upward trend (green).
When the price is below the bands, it is a downward...
