5-Day SMA Trend Indicator (30m)This 5-Day SMA Trend Indicator is a simple yet powerful tool designed to help traders visualize short-term trend strength and direction. It analyzes the 5-day simple moving average (SMA) on an intraday timeframe (default: 30 minutes) to determine whether the market is in a bullish or bearish short-term trend.
Key Features:
✅ 5-Day SMA Calculation – Plots a 5-period simple moving average (SMA) on an intraday chart
✅ Trend Detection – Identifies when the SMA is rising or falling
✅ Price Positioning – Determines whether price is above or below the SMA
✅ Color-Coded Background –
• 🟩 Green → Price is above a rising SMA (bullish trend)
• 🟥 Red → Price is below a falling SMA (bearish trend)
✅ Intraday Analysis – Uses 30-minute candles by default, but you can adjust the timeframe
How It Works:
1. The script calculates the 5-day SMA using intraday price data.
2. It determines if the SMA is rising (bullish) or falling (bearish) by checking the slope of the moving average.
3. It checks if the current price is above or below the SMA.
4. If price is above a rising SMA, the background turns green (bullish signal).
5. If price is below a falling SMA, the background turns red (bearish signal).
6. If neither condition is met, no background color is applied.
Use Cases:
📌 Trend Confirmation – Helps traders confirm if a rally is sustainable or likely to fail
📌 Entry & Exit Signals – Can assist in timing buy and sell decisions based on short-term trend direction
📌 Risk Management – Avoid buying into weak rallies below a falling SMA

Mark Minervini Buy Signal# Mark Minervini Buy Signal Indicator
This indicator implements Mark Minervini's "Stage 2 Uptrend" buy criteria from his SEPA (Specific Entry Point Analysis) methodology as described in his books "Trade Like a Stock Market Wizard" and "Think & Trade Like a Champion". The script identifies potential buy setups based on Minervini's technical criteria for stocks showing strong momentum characteristics.
## How It Works
The indicator evaluates various technical conditions to identify stocks in a Stage 2 uptrend according to Minervini's methodology:
1. **Moving Average Alignment**
- 150-day MA above 200-day MA (confirming overall uptrend)
- 200-day MA trending up (compared to 20 days ago)
- 50-day MA above both 150-day and 200-day MAs (showing recent strength)
- Price above all major moving averages (50, 150, 200-day MAs)
2. **Price Relative to 52-Week Range**
- Price at least 25% above 52-week low (showing strong recovery)
- Price within 75-95% of 52-week high (room for further upside)
3. **Relative Strength**
- Stock ranks in the top 30% based on 100-day price performance
- This implements Minervini's emphasis on buying only strong performers
4. **Volume Criteria**
- Volume above its 50-day moving average (showing increasing interest)
## How to Use This Indicator

Cyclical inverted smaCyclical ISMA: Rediscovering a Powerful Tool for Cycle Analysis
Introduction
In the classic book "The Profit Magic of Stock Transaction Timing", J.M. Hurst introduced the inverse half-span moving average (ISMA) - a powerful but often overlooked tool that, when combined with cycle envelopes, excels at identifying cyclical peaks and troughs in financial markets.
The true power of this indicator lies in its ability to project future price movements through its centering mechanism. While traditional moving averages lag price action, the ISMA's centering logic creates a forward projection equal to half of the calculation period.
I've refined this concept into what I call the "Cyclical ISMA" - a versatile tool for cycle analysis that provides remarkably accurate forecasts when properly implemented.
How It Works
When you center an average, it shifts backward by n periods. This temporal translation creates what appears to be a deficit in recent data. However, this is actually the indicator's strength:
The darker colored section of the indicator represents the projection - our best current estimate of future values
The sharper colored section shows confirmed values of previous projections
The projection window equals half of the calculation period
📊 Recommended Implementation Strategies
1 ️⃣ Multi-Period Cyclical Analysis
One of the most effective approaches is to implement multiple ISMAs with different period settings. I recommend using 2-3 ISMAs (not more) with the following configuration:
Start with the middle of your target cycle (e.g., 180 periods for an annual cycle)
Set each subsequent ISMA to half the period of the previous one (e.g., 180, 90, 45)
This fractal approach delivers early confirmation of cyclical peaks and troughs, effectively reducing the lag window caused by centering. Here's how it works:
Point A might identify a peak on ISMA A (longest period), but the same pattern will appear earlier on ISMA B and even earlier on ISMA C (shortest period). By the time the peak forms on ISMA C, it's already been confirmed, giving you a significant timing advantage.
When combined with cyclical bands, this approach precisely identifies relevant tops and bottoms.
2️ ⃣ Divergence Analysis
For advanced traders, divergence between price and multiple ISMAs provides exceptionally powerful signals:
The price tops highlighted by the green line show that ISMA B has registered a major divergence
ISMA A will eventually confirm this divergence, but requires more time and significant price movement
ISMA C (the fastest) confirms the divergence shortly before a price drop, providing an ideal entry for short positions
What can we deduce from this pattern?
The cyclical bands indicate the annual cycle is slowing down
ISMA A confirms this trend
ISMA B registers an important divergence, signaling the closure of an intermediate cycle (confirmed by the bands and the March low)
ISMA C records a divergence just before the price drop, giving us time to position accordingly
When you observe three aligned divergences while price approaches and gets rejected at the upper bands, it strongly suggests the annual cycle has peaked.
Important Considerations
For proper interpretation of these tools, you must understand both:
The current cyclical position
The structures formed by the cycles
Market conditions aren't always easy to interpret, which is why I recommend using multiple timeframes and complementary indicators depending on market conditions.
📍 Conclusion:
The Cyclical ISMA offers a significant edge in identifying cycle turning points before they become obvious to the majority of market participants. By combining multiple ISMAs with cyclical bands, you can identify high-probability trade setups with precise timing.
I invite you to explore this approach further if you're interested in advanced cyclical analysis techniques.
Cyclical ComboCyclical Combo: Revolutionize Your Cyclical Analysis
Introduction:
Cyclical Combo is an advanced indicator designed to give traders a significant advantage in identifying market cycles. By combining mathematical derivatives with different cyclical periodicities, this tool presents a characteristic jagged style that reveals valuable information about price movements.
The indicator is distinguished by the possibility of applying a particular filter that reduces false signals, making the instrument extremely reliable even in the most volatile markets.
📊 Optimal Use Cases:
1️⃣ Identifying the Opening and Closing of Main Cycles
In the example above, we analyze the four-year period between the low of late December 2018 and that of November 2022 (post-FTX collapse):
Point A: The Combo unequivocally signals the beginning of a four-year cycle through the bullish crossing of the zero line.
Point B: During the March 2020 lows, although the Combo indicated the closure of a minor degree cycle, its smoothed average remained above the zero line in a horizontal position. This indicates that the main 4-year cycle has not yet shown weakness... You simply paused!
Point C: Clear signaling of the beginning of the closing phase of the four-year cycle, confirmed by the bearish crossing of the Combo's average.
Point D: Start of the new four-year cycle.
2️⃣ Interpreting Crossovers Between the Combo and its Average
The crossover between the Combo and its average signals a decrease in momentum of the cycle under examination (bearish crossover) or a momentum purchase (bullish crossover). The rule is more reliable the sharper the cut of the average:
Point A: The sharp bearish crossover indicates that the cycle could turn downward to identify a closing minimum.
Point C: The Combo's average is flat, foreshadowing a possibly non-sharp crossover unlike point A. This behavior suggests the potential formation of a minor degree cycle.
Point D: After identifying an all-time high, a first worrying signal appears, decreeing the beginning of the terminal phase of the four-year cycle with the bearish crossing of the zero line.
3️⃣ Divergences
With the correct configuration of the tool, classic divergences (not hidden ones) acquire significant value in cyclical analysis, providing further confirmation of potential reversal points.
📍 Tips for Optimal Use
Configure the tool according to the nominal period of the cycle to be analyzed
On the Combo chart, you can plot both static support and resistance levels as well as dynamic levels such as channels and trendlines
The Combo, like Velocity (another tool in our suite), is also suitable for identifying technical analysis patterns such as triangles, flags, head and shoulders, and even necklines
Conclusion:
Cyclical Combo was introduced by the legendary ing. Luigi Migliorino and my work wants to be a tribute to a great myth of the Italian cyclical analysis. By making some technical improvements, this tool offers operators the possibility of having unequivocal evidence of what has been and not of what will be!
Confirms trend reversals with greater precision than traditional instruments. The ability to filter out false signals and correctly interpret relationships between cycles of varying degrees makes this indicator an indispensable tool in any trader’s toolkit that aspires to understand the deep structure of market movements driven by Cyclical impulses.
