MTF MA Regime + ATR Noise Filter ( Premium UI) [VBS]
This indicator is designed to help traders trade with the higher-timeframe trend, avoid low-quality noise, and identify clean, rule-based opportunities without overloading the chart.
Instead of relying on simple moving average crossovers, this script combines higher-timeframe bias, volatility-based noise filtering, and clear entry logic to provide practical trading context that works across markets.
Core Concepts
1. Higher Timeframe Bias (MTF)
The script uses a higher timeframe moving average (default: 4H) to define the main market bias:
Bullish when price is above the HTF slow MA
Bearish when price is below the HTF slow MA
Optional slope filtering to reduce whipsaws
All signals are designed to follow this bias, helping traders avoid entries against the dominant trend.
2. ATR Noise Filter
An ATR-based band is plotted around the mid moving average to visualize:
Normal price movement (noise)
Abnormal expansion (valid momentum)
This allows traders to:
Avoid trading during choppy conditions
Focus on breakouts that actually matter
The noise filter can optionally block signals while price is inside the band.
3. Two Clear Signal Types
The indicator provides two complementary signal types:
PB (Pullback)
Trend-continuation entries after a healthy pullback and reclaim of the mid MA.
BO (Breakout)
Momentum entries when price breaks outside the ATR noise band in the direction of the higher-timeframe trend.
Both signals include lightweight momentum confirmation and optional cooldown logic to reduce signal clustering.

Optional background coloring for bias and neutral/noise conditions
On-chart status panel showing:
HTF bias
Noise state

PB / BO legend
