Example: There were less people left to sell to the algorithms when Bitcoin made it to $3200, than there were people buying from the algorithms.
A push to $2800 would have resulted in the algorithms distributing, where they were supposed to be accumulating, thus it didn't happen.
The same goes for the major altcoins. The algorithms have already accumulated most of the market, so the price must move up for re-distribution.
