US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday his intention to impose 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico, with the implementation potentially beginning as early as early February. Trump also warned that tariffs could be levied on China if a TikTok deal is not approved, supporting the demand for safe-haven assets like Gold.
Last week’s US Producer Price Index (PPI) and Consumer Price Index (CPI) reports indicated easing inflationary pressures.
