[/ A Microsoft study on GitHub copilot in 2024 ,an Ai pair programmer demonstrated significant time saving for software development,in a controlled experiment software development tasked with implementing an HTTP server in JavaScript completed the project 55.8% faster when using GitHub copilot compared to those without it Additionally a border surver of copilots user revealed that 73% reported completing tasks faster with an average daily time saving of 14 minutes or 1.2 hours per week,Notably 22% of user saved more than 30 minutes daily ,the study also found that 70% of copilot user report increase productivity with 67% stating they could focus or more important work thanks to time saved
