SPX will definitely take a large hit within the near future do to American's uneasiness about the midterm elections. This is a common economical phenomenon that basically states that the few months leading up to the midterms are full of violent market volatility and overall downtrends. This period of bearishness in the market will hit SPX hard, dropping prices far below what was seen late last week.
