Shorting ETH/XBT ? Just Look For The Mountains!

We've recently found success identifying short opportunities for ETH/XBT and BTC/XBT using our K2 indicator.

The Indicator is based on the Commodity Channel Index(CCI). Specifically, it uses a modified fast and slow CCI, as well as upper and lower bounds, to pinpoint the ideal time to enter a short position.

On the graph, you can see the slow CCI shown in white and the fast CCI shown in blue. The upper red line is the barrier at which a coin is considered overbought. The lower green line is the point at which the coin can be considered oversold. This combination allows the indicator to analyze the momentum, trend direction and trend strength of a coin to ensure profitable shorts.

The indicator uses a combination of comparisons between the fast and slow CCI to determine when to generate a short signal. But, to keep it simple traders can simply wait for the slow CCI to rise above the upper red line and above the fast CCI so that the graph resembles a snow-capped mountain.

The background color then changes to red (aka the vertical red stripes) when the exact moment comes to enter a short position.

The graph shows our recent ETH/XBT trades over the past month.
