Self Optimizing MACD [Starbots]Self Optimizing MACD Strategy. (non-repainting)
Script constantly tests 15 MACD combinations for maximum profitability and trades based on the best performing combination.
You will notice that signal lines switch sometimes, this is when the strategy optimizes to the better combination and change plots, strategy is dynamic.
There are a lot of black - shadow lines, this are the signals that are not currently active, but script keeps checking and valuating every one of them on every bar close. I recommend using dark mode chart for better view.
MACD /Signal lines in Blue/ Orange are the best performing combination and active at the moment.
*Histogram bars are always displayed based on the default MACD setting (12,26,9) - to keep the script running fast and smoothly. It's not changing plots unlike MACD /Signal lines.
-Turn on MACD Profit Dashboard and spot the worst performing combination to change it and get the better performance overall.
-Backtesting Range - backtest within your desired time window. Example: 'from 01/01/2020 to 01/01/2023'
-Optimizing range - you can decrease the amount of bars/data for optimizing script. This way you can keep it up to date to more recent market by selecting optimizing range to optimize it just from the recent 3-6months of data for example. Strategy before this selected range will normally trade (backtest) based on the first MACD parameters in your menu (12,26,9 by default) if you turn this on.
*I recommend 'Optimizing Range' turned off actually, use max amount of available bars in your history for optimization
- Strategy is trading on the bar close without repaint. You can trade Long-Sell or Long- Short. Alerts available.
- Turn on Profit Calendar for better overview of how your strategy performs monthly/annualy
- Recommended Sources : close, hl2 , hlc3, hlcc4 (when scalping/day trading and market is uptrending good, you can use 'volume' as a source, comes in handy)
- Recommended TF : 30s, 3min, 5min, 10min, 1h, 2h, 4h, 8h, 1d (low timeframes works good if you have no fees like Binance currently do on BTC for example otherwise you probably want to use 1h+ chart)
- MACD parameters : pre-set MACD combinations are very good and common in trading world, you don't need to change them, but you can do it at free will
- Notes window : add your custom comments in or save your webhook message text inside here for later use.
- Trading Session: in a session, you have to specify the time range for every day. It will trade only within this window and close trades when it's out. Session from 9am to 5pm will look like that: 0900-1700 or 7am to 4:30pm 0700-1630. After the colon, you can specify days of the week for your trading session. 1234567 trading all days, 23456 – Monday to Friday ('1 is Sunday here'). 0000-0000:1234567 by default will trade every day nonstop. 00.00am to 00.00pm and 1234567 every day of the week for example - Cryptocurrencies.
This script is simple to use for any trader as it saves a lot of time for searching good parameters on your own. It's also self-optimizing and adjusting to the markets on the go.

TUE Argentum Algo V1This algorithm is designed to look trend for opening conditions, apply various filters including volume and volatility, then determine stop outs, break evens, and take profits.
The algorithm uses proprietary math based on the concepts of volatility, standard deviations, average true ranges, and volume to help determine trend. You can filter based on cumulative volume delta, volatility, and moving average based trend. It includes settings for either trend following or contrarian trades, and the ability to go long, short, or both.
The take profit areas are based on proprietary math that help find peaks and valleys. You can adjust the size of the take profits as a percentage of the position, change to static take profits (i.e. take profit in 16 ticks), or use both. You can also disable them and use the natural closing conditions of the trades (detection of trend change in the opposite direction).
Our algo works in any market and will allow user to adjust input settings to be used on any ticker they'd like. It is built as a strategy so you can back test on any ticker to find the exact right settings to dial it in and then switch to live trading mode to see signals. Can be used for day trades or swing trades.
Automated Trading
This algo has been tested and certified to work for automated trading.
Works on Forex
It's confirmed to work on forex so you can trade that market.
Gets you into long successful trades, and gets out of poor ones quickly
It keeps you in the long trades taking small profits along the way, but cuts losers quickly in comparison. This style leads to a high profit factor.
It looks at many variables so you don't have to
- Uses trend analysis for opening/closing conditions.
- It measures the strength of trends to help determine if it should enter or not.
- It uses volume, if the user wants, to help filter entries. The volume calculation is based off of my proprietary cumulative volume delta indicator and helps find if the volume is moving long or short.
- It uses proprietary take profit math to help find peaks and valleys to peel off profits. It is based on the changes in momentum of the underlying.
- It allows for stop outs and break evens based on volatility so they'll always adjust with the movement of the underlying ticker (see the blue lines above and below the opening in the chart).
- It allows for offset break evens to keep a portion of the profit.
Strategy for the Algo
Included so you can understand how to trade with it.
ONE: After loading this strategy onto a ticker turn off volume if it's a ticker with no volume , set the dates at the bottom to when the stock is active (you want to start backtesting when a stock started trading like it trades currently).
TWO: From there adjust the short term trend settings to find the highest win rate and profit factor.
THREE: Then adjust the volume length to find the highest win rate and profit factor. It's important while doing these that you pay attention to a smooth upward equity curve.
FOUR: After this has been done now adjust the long and short risk multipliers. This determines your stop out.
FIVE: Then adjust breakeven multipliers - this is the level at which it changes to a breakeven stop out instead of the previous one. You can also set an offset to keep a small part of the profit.
SIX: Finally adjust the take profit sizes.
SEVEN: Once this is all done go back through the list and adjust up and down by one or two clicks and see if a better curve can be obtained. Very frequently long and short trades have different settings.
EIGHT: When you are finished save the settings in a custom indicator template and put it with it's own chart.
Additional
The settings shown on screen are not the default settings, but are settings chosen for this ticker and timeframe based on the process above. Nearly every ticker and timeframe will require adjustment from default, that's why the algorithm is built to be highly flexible. It can fit any ticker and timeframe, as well as market environment.
This particular setup has the algo running a scalping program on ES 3 min with a 16 tick static target. This algorithm can be set up as a scalper, or used to day trade more regularly. It can also swing trade.
As shown here the algo includes $1.25 of commissions and 1 tick of slippage on all orders (about our average for automated trading on ES).
Strategy Myth-Busting #13 - MultiEMA+BXTrender - [SP/MYN]#13 on the Myth-Busting bench, we are automating the "I Found The Highest Win Rate 15 Minute Scalping Trading Strategy Ever" strategy from "TradeIQ" who claims to have backtested this manually and achieved 410% profit over 100 trades within 6 months on Natural Gas with 79 Wins / 21 Losses with an astounding 3.96% Max Drawdown.
It was quite challenging emulating the same subjective EMA pullback logic along with the dependent sequencing of events necessary to enter a trade and we might improve on this to make it better in the future. Super kudos to @spdoinkal who helped with this strategy. If you have ideas on how this could be improved on, would love to hear about them.
As is, we were unable to substantiate similar results to what was manually backtested by TradeIQ, we do however see potential here. Given some optimizations and improvements to the the entry logic accommodating for a wider more variable margin after pullbacks reestablish above/below the fast EMA we think the performance of this strategy could certainly be improved upon. So not sure if we have totally myth busted this completely at this point in time.
This strategy uses a combination of 2 open-source public indicators:
3 EMA's (Trading View Internal)
B-Xtrender by Puppytherapy
Three separate (21), (89) and (200) EMA's are used as a means to confirm and keep entry out of ranged markets. When the 3 EMA's are all clumped up together with no distance it's indicative of a flat or ranged market. This is then used in conjunction with B-XTrender as a means to detect the trend direction. B-XTrender which is a trend following indicator originally published in the IFTA Journal by Bharat Jhunjhunwala. It uses both a short and long term lengths along with a compound EMA used as a means to smooth and sample trend direction.
Trading Rules

EMA Green (21) on top, White (89)in middle and red (200) on bottom and there is distance between EMA's need to be spaced, otherwise in a ranged market
Price action must pull back into 89 EMA (White line) either close or touching it.
Once pullback occurs wait for BX Trender to issue a new green circle and BX Trend line must be green and above 0
Price action must also pull up back above the (Green Line) EMA 21
Short
EMA Red (200) on top, White (89) in middle and Green (21) on bottom and there is distance between EMA's need to be spaced, otherwise in a ranged market
Price action must pull back into 89 EMA (White line) either close or touching it.
Once pullback occurs wait for BX Trender to issue a new red circle and BX Trend line must be red and below 0
Price action must also pull up back below the (green Line) EMA 21

Strategy Myth-Busting #11 - TrendMagic+SqzMom+CDV - [MYN]This is part of a new series we are calling "Strategy Myth-Busting" where we take open public manual trading strategies and automate them. The goal is to not only validate the authenticity of the claims but to provide an automated version for traders who wish to trade autonomously.
Our 11th one is an automated version of the "Magic Trading Strategy : Most Profitable Indicator : 1 Minute Scalping Strategy Crypto" strategy from "Fx MENTOR US" who doesn't make any official claims but given the indicators he was using, it looked like on the surface that this might actually work. The strategy author uses this on the 1 minute and 3 minute timeframes on mostly FOREX and Heiken Ashi candles but as the title of his strategy indicates is designed for Crypto. So who knows..
To backtest this accurately and get a better picture we resolved the Heiken Ashi bars to standard candlesticks . Even so, I was unable to sustain any consistency in my results on either the 1 or 3 min time frames and both FOREX and Crypto. 10000% Busted.
This strategy uses a combination of 3 open-source public indicators:
Trend Magic by KivancOzbilgic
Squeeze Momentum by LazyBear
Cumulative Delta Volume by LonesomeTheBlue
Trend Magic consists of two main indicators to validate momentum and volatility. It uses an ATR like a trailing Stop to determine the overarching momentum and CCI as a means to validate volatility. Together these are used as the primary indicator in this strategy. When the CCI is above 0 this is confirmation of a volatility event is occurring with affirmation based upon current momentum (ATR).
The CCI volatility indicator gets confirmation by the the Cumulative Delta Volume indicator which calculates the difference between buying and selling pressure. Volume Delta is calculated by taking the difference of the volume that traded at the offer price and the volume that traded at the bid price. The more volume that is traded at the bid price, the more likely there is momentum in the market.
And lastly the Squeeze Momentum indicator which uses a combination of Bollinger Bands, Keltner Channels and Momentum are used to again confirm momentum and volatility. During periods of low volatility, Bollinger bands narrow and trade inside Keltner channels. They can only contract so much before it can’t contain the energy it’s been building. When the Bollinger bands come back out, it explodes higher. When we see the histogram bar exploding into green above 0 that is a clear confirmation of increased momentum and volatile. The opposite (red) below 0 is true when there are low periods. This indicator is used as a means to really determine when there is premium selling plays going on leading to big directional movements again confirming the positive or negative momentum and volatility direction.
If you know of or have a strategy you want to see myth-busted or just have an idea for one, please feel free to message me.

Strategy Myth-Busting #7 - MACDBB+SSL+VSF - [MYN]This is part of a new series we are calling "Strategy Myth-Busting" where we take open public manual trading strategies and automate them. The goal is to not only validate the authenticity of the claims but to provide an automated version for traders who wish to trade autonomously.
Our seventh one we are automating is the "Magic MACD Indicator: Crazy Accurate Scalping Trading Strategy ( 74% Win Rate )" strategy from "TradeIQ" who claims to have backtested this manually and achieved 427% profit with a 74% winrate over 100 trades in just a 4 months. I was unable to emulate these results consistently accommodating for slippage and commission but even so the results and especially the high win-rate and low markdown is pretty impressive and quite respectable.
This strategy uses a combination of 3 open-source public indicators:
AK MACD BB v 1.00 by Algokid
SSL Hybrid by Mihkel00
Volume Strength Finder by Saravanan_Ragavan
This is considered a trend following Strategy. AK MACD BB is being used as the primary short term trend direction indicator with an interesting approach of using Bollinger Bands to define an upper and lower range and upon the MACD going above the upper Bollinger Bands, it's indicative of an up trend, where as if the MACD is below the lower Bollinger Band, it's indicative of a down trend. To eliminate false signals, SSL Hyrbid is used as a trend confirmation filter, confirming and eliminating false signals from the MACD BB. It does this by validating the price action is above the the EMA and the SSL is positive that is a confirmation of an uptrend. When the price action is below the EMA and the SSL is negative, that is an confirmation of a downtrend. To avoid taking trades during ranged markets, VSF Buyer's Strength is used so the buyers/sellers strength and must be above 50% or the trade will not be inititiated.
Trading Rules
5 min candles but other lower time frames even below 5m work quite well too.
Best results can be found by tweaking these 2 input parameters:
Number Of bars to look back to ensure MACD isn't above/below Zero Line
Number Of bars back to look for SSL pullback
Long Entry when these conditions are true
AK MACD BB BB issues a new continuation long signal. A new green circle must appear on the indicator and these circles should not be touching across the zero level while they were previously red
SSL Hybrid price action closes above the EMA and the line is blue color and then creates a pullback . The pullback is confirmed when the color changes from blue to gray or from blue to red.
VSF Buyers strength above 50% at the time the MACD indicator issues a new long signal.
Short Entry when these conditions are true
AK MACD BB issues a new continuation short signal. A new red circle must appear on the indicator and these circles should not be touching across the zero level while they were previously green
SSL Hybrid price action closes below the EMA and the line is red color then it has to create a pullback . The pullback is confirmed when the color changes from red to gray or from red to blue.
VSF Sellers strength above 50% at the time the MACD indicator issues a new short signal.
Stop Loss at EMA Line with TP Target 1.5x the risk

Strategy Myth-Busting #5 - POKI+GTREND+ADX - [MYN]This is part of a new series we are calling "Strategy Myth-Busting" where we take open public manual trading strategies and automate them. The goal is to not only validate the authenticity of the claims but to provide an automated version for traders who wish to trade autonomously.
Our fifth one we are automating is one of the strategies from "The Best 3 Buy And Sell Indicators on Tradingview + Confirmation Indicators ( The Golden Ones ))" from "Online Trading Signals (Scalping Channel)". No formal backtesting was done by them and resuructo messaged me asking if we could validate their claims.
Originally, we mimic verbatim the settings Online Trading Signals was using however weren't getting promising results. So before we stopped there we thought we might want to see if this could be improved on. So we adjusted the Renko Assignment modifier from ATR to Traditional and adjusted the value to be higher from 30 to 47. We also decided to try adding another signal confirmation to eliminate some of the ranged market conditions so we choose our favorite, ADX . Also, given we are using this on a higher time-frame we adjusted the G-Channel Trend detection source from close to OHLC4 to get better average price action indication and more accurate trend direction.
This strategy uses a combination of 2 open-source public indicators:

G-Channel Trend Detection by jaggedsoft
Trading Rules

The goal is to not only validate the authenticity of the claims but to provide an automated version for traders who wish to trade autonomously.
Our fourth one we are automating is one of the strategies from "I Found The Best 1 Minute Scalping Strategy That Actually Works! ( Beginner Friendly )" from "Trade Domination" who claims to have made 366% profit on the 1 min chart of Solona despite having a 31% win rate in just a few weeks. As you can see from the backtest results below, I was unable to substantiate anything close to that that claim on the same symbol ( SOLUSD ), timeframe (1m) with identical instrument settings that "Trade Domination" was demonstrating with. Strategy Busted.

Pink trading (3 MA + RSI)Strategy intended for scalping on forex, commodities , crypto on a timeframe not less than m15.
The strategy is based on 3 means: fast, slow and trend. RSI is used for filter signals.
Long signals are generated when fast mean crossover slow mean and the price is over the trend mean
Short signals are generated when fast mean crossunder slow mean and the price is under the trend mean
You can choose type of mean between SMA , RMA, EMA , WMA , VWMA as well the source of values between all standard sources
RSI is used to filter the signals:
Long only if RSI is grater than 50 and the SMA of RSI (with the same period as fast mean) is ascending,
Short only if RSI is less than 50 RSI mean is descending
The trade is closed or at reaching of a Take Profit (setting in % of price, in standard forex = 100pip per %) or at reaching of maximum open candles period.
The Stop Loss is set as the lowest/highest value of the "Min/Max SL back candles" candles
Default values gives a good balance for forex, for crypto and commodities you can tweek parameters for better results
in markets with high volatility you can increase Take Profit level but keep maximum number of candles low
[SPOILED]SteadyScalpyHi Traders,
This is my testing strategy which implemented Trading View's trailing stop loss feature. This strategy mainly focus on ETH/USDT perp contract15 minutes timeframe, backtest capital is set to 1000 USDT, 10% equity, 0.04% commission, limited backtest date from Jan 2022 to now, result as shown below. I have faith in this strategy, but still please use only a small amount of money to test, like 5-10% of your total capital.
The strategy contains a couple modules, entry module, trend filter module, take profit, and stop loss module.
How to use:
Stoch RSI:
5 MA types were provided which is HMA / VWMA / WMA / EMA / SMA , HMA with Length setting of 5, 8 seems to be most efficient. VWMA and WMA with 8, 13 will generate less entry signals but with less entry risks.
Price Step:
This is the core feature of this strategy and it is based on Demark9 and price action. With Step 1&2 enabled, it will generate more entry signals. signals can be filtered by trend magic. if disable this option, Stoch RSI will be the only entry signal left in this strategy.
Trend Magic:
Trend Magic uses CCI and ATR to calculate trend status; green means uptrend, red means downtrend, pretty straight forward; the best value for this indicator would be, 21, 34, 55, 89. Only long allow when trend magic turns green and vice versa.
Take Profit and Stop Loss:
The default value for TP is set to 0.4%. Once the price hits 0.4%, it begins trailing; once the price drawdown 0.01%, it will close trade. The orange line indicates the ATR trailing take profit; once 'close' crosses ATR, it will exit the trade immediately. I also added a failsafe as a final stop loss, when price movement exceeds threshold (default 1%), it will exit trade no matter what.
Enjoy :)
[SPOILED]SuperTrench - ETH Super ScalperHi Traders,
I'm republishing this script as I finally polished it to perfection IMO. The script uses 5 coding sections: entry, trend filter, pivot filter, take profit, and stop loss. The script mainly uses trailing as take profit; this is probably the easiest way to make a profitable scalper strategy.
Backtest capital is set to 1000 USDT, 35% equity, 0.04% commission, limited backtest date from Jan 2022 to now, backtested on ETH/USDT prep contracts 15m timeframe, result as shown below.
It looks unreal right? Hell no, I actually tested this strategy on Binance from Dec 06 to Dec 10. I got 8.29% return with 4x leverage, 50% equity setup; 75% win rate,1.58 profit factor, with 4.3% max drawdown, it is amazingly close to the backtest result.
User Manual
Entry >>> Stoch RSI:
I added 5 MA types to the Stoch RSI which is HMA/VWMA/WMA/EMA/SMA, HMA with Length setting of 5, 8 seems to be most efficient, VWMA and WMA with 8, 13 will generate less entry signals but with less entry risks.
Entry >>> R Style:
It based on price action, with candlestick makes a U turn, after 2nd candlestick confirmed, it generates entry signal, this will give you some extra entries, better leave it enabled.
Entry >>> Price Step:
This probably is the core feature of this strategy; also my secret ingredient to making this strategy this efficient. It is recommended to enable step 1-5, more steps basically means more entries, but they are not necessarily profitable.
Trend Filter >>> Price Step:
I couldn't tell you much details about how this indicator works, but it is a reliable indicator, based on price action, and I got some ideas from Demark9 indicator. The bigger the level, the stronger the filter is, please note that if 'Price Step Entries' less than Price Step Trend, entries will be ignored.
Pivot Filter >>> RSI Pivot & Pinbar Pivot:
RSI Pivot detects if the RSI signal line making U turn in certain condition, Pinbar detection combines R Style entry when price action U turn took place, these 2 pivot filter will close the trade once it is counter trend, so it better enable and leave it as is.
Trend Filter >>> Trend Magic:
Trend Magic uses CCI and ATR to calculate trend status, green means uptrend, red means downtrend, pretty straight forward, the best value for this indicator would be, 21, 34, 55, 89.
Trend Filter >>> Alpha:
This filter combines R style pivot, price step, EMA all together to detects consolidation area, because EMA was involved, so the best look back period would be around 15-35, it is best to use default value IMO, in another hands, if you need stronger filter, feel free to use 10, 18, 20, 25, 30, 35, make sure look back period should increase or decrease by 5 every time.
Take Profit and Stop Loss:
The default value for tp is set to 0.4%, but I also give you option to switch to ATR TP; you can adjust in the ATR multiplier, default ATR trailing stop loss uses 1 ATR, but you can adjust it for better drawdown tolerance. Fixed ATR SL is also given when fixed ATR is enabled. There will be a failsafe SL default set to 1% if price moves counter direction of opened position, it will close trade no matter what happens.
Enjoy :)
Strategy Myth-Busting #20 - HalfTrend+HullButterfly - [MYN]#20 on the Myth-Busting bench, we are automating the " I Found Super Easy 1 Minute Scalping System And Backtest It 100 Times " strategy from " Jessy Trading " who claims 30.58% net profit over 100 trades in a couple of weeks with a 51% win rate and profit factor of 1.56 on EURUSD .
This one surprised us quite a bit. Despite the title of this strategy indicating this is on the 1 min timeframe, the author demonstrates the backtesting manually on the 5 minute timeframe. Given the simplicity of this strategy only incorporating a couple of indicators, it's robustness being able to be profitable in both low and high timeframes and on multiple symbols was quite refreshing.
The 3 settings which we need to pay most attention to here is the Hull Butterfly length, HalfTrend amplitude and the Max Number Of Bars Between Hull and HalfTrend Trigger. Depending on the timeframe and symbol, these settings greatly impact the performance outcomes of the strategy. I've listed a couple of these below.
And as always, If you know of or have a strategy you want to see myth-busted or just have an idea for one, please feel free to message me.

TradeIQ - Crazy Scalping Trading Strategy [Kaspricci]This strategy script is a combination of two indicators developed by LuxAlgo:
Triangular Momentum Oscillator & Real Time Divergences ( TMO )
Adjustable MA & Alternating Extremities (AMA)
The script combines the BUY and SELL signals from the TMO indicator with the BUY and SELL extremities shown by the AMA script and waits for the smoothed candles to grow in size. It places a SHORT or LONG order and sets a stop loss at the latest swing high or low (highes high or lowest low for a defined number of recent bars). A new LONG trade is highlighted by a green background. A new SHORT trade is highlighted by red background.
The trades will be closed once a new TMO indicator BUY or SELL signal appears or the color of the AMA extremities is switching from green to red and vice versa.
All parameters of TOM and AMA indicators are added as well and work the same way as in the original scripts provided by LuxAlgo.
The idea to combine these two indicators has been provided to me by TradIQ in his youtube video.
Please leave a comment in case you find a bug. In case you find a combination of parameters with a high win rat and high PnL I would be interested as well.
Open High Low StrategyThis is a very simple, yet effective and to some extend widely followed scalping strategy to capture the underling sentiments of the counter whether it will go up or down.
What is it?
This is Open-High-Low (OLH) strategy.
As you already aware of Candlestick patterns, there is patterns called as Marubozu patterns where the sell wick or buy wick either ceases to exists (or very small). This is exactly in the same principle.
In OLH strategy: The buy signal appears when the Open Price is the Low Price. It means if you draw the candlestick, there is no bottom wick. So after the opening of the candle, the demand drives the price up to the level, some selling may or may not come and closes in green. This indicates a strong upward biasness of the underlying counter.
Similarly, a sell signal appears when the Open price is the High Price. It means there is no upper wick. So there is no buying pressure, since the opening of the candle, sellers are in force and pulls down the price to a closing.
This strategy generates the signal at the close of the candle (technically barstate.isconfirmed). Because until the bar is real-time there is no option to know the final closing or high. So you will see the bar on which it generates the buy or sell signal is actually indicates the previous bar as OLH bar.
To determine the Stop-Loss, it uses the most widely known SL calculation of:
For buy signal, it takes the low of the last 7 candles and substract the ATR (Average True Range) of 14-period.
For sell signal, it takes the high of the last 7 candles and add it to the ATR (Average True Range) of 14-period.
One can plot the SL lines as dotted green and red lines as well to see visually.
Default Risk:Reward is 1:2, Can be customizable.
What is Unique?
Of course the utter simplistic nature of this strategy is it's key point. Very easy and intuitive to understand.
There are awesome strategies in this forum that talks about the various indicators combinations and what not.
Instead of all this, in a 15m NSE:NIFTY chart, it generates a good ~ 47% profit-factor with 1:2 Risk Reward ratio. Means if you loose a trade you will loose 1% of account and if you win you will gain 2%. Means 3 trades (2 profits and 1 loss) in a trading session result 3% overall gain for the day. (Assuming you are ready with 1% draw down of your account per trade, at max).

Strategy Myth-Busting #6 - PSAR+MA+SQZMOM+HVI - [MYN]This is part of a new series we are calling "Strategy Myth-Busting" where we take open public manual trading strategies and automate them. The goal is to not only validate the authenticity of the claims but to provide an automated version for traders who wish to trade autonomously.
Our sixth one we are automating is " I Tested ''7% Profit Per Day" Scalping Strategy 100 Times ( Unexpected Results ) " from " TradeIQ " which claims to have made 175% profit on the 5 min chart of BTCUSD with a having a 61% win rate in just 32 days.
Originally, we mimicked verbatim the indicators and settings TradeIQ was using however weren't getting promising results anything close to the claim so we decided to try and improve on it. We changed the static Parabolic SAR to be adaptive based upon the timeframe. We did this by using an adjustable multiplier for the PSAR Max. Also, In TradeIQ's revised version he substituted Hawkeye's Volume Indicator in lieu of Squeeze Momentum. We found that including both indicators we were getting better results so included them both. Feel free to experiment more. Would love to see how this could be improved on.
This strategy uses a combination of 4 open-source public indicators:
Parabolic Sar (built in)
10 in 1 MA's by hiimannshu
Squeeze Momentum by lazybear
HawkEYE Volume Indicator by lazybear
Trading Rules
5m timeframe and above. We saw equally good results in the higher (3h - 4h) timeframes as well.
Long Entry:
Parabolic Sar shifts below price at last dot above and then previous bar needs to breach above that.
Price action has to be below both MA's and 50MA needs to be above 200MA
Squeeze Momentum needsd to be in green or close to going green
HawkEYE Volume Indicator needs to be show a green bar on the histagram
Short Entry:
Parabolic Sar shifts above price at last dot below and then previous bar needs to breach below that.
Price action needs to be above both MA's and 50MA needs to be below 200MA
Squeeze Momentum needsd to be in red or close to going red
HawkEYE Volume Indicator needs to be show a red bar on the histagram

VWAP Push StrategyThis strategy is unfortunately not finished yet.
A pretty simple strategy. If price broke through VWAP and had three consecutive candles following the breakthroughs trend, the high of the third candle will be drawn. If this happened after a crossover of the vwap and price breaks through the high of the third candle, strategy will go long. Short will be the same after crossing under the vwap. A long or short will be closed after crossing the vwap in the opposite direction, so the vwap is kind of a trailing stop.
Unfortunately, I could not manage to stop the script from entering multiple times into one drawn high or low. Of course, if a high was crossed the script should wait for a new formed high before entering a new long. If someone would find a solution to this, it would be great, because I think it is a nice strategy .
Should work great scalping 5min charts (when scripting, I used the SPX for reference).
4 Pack Scalping ToolThe 4 Squeeze Scalp tool is a tool that I have developed over the past few years. I was always fascinated by the fact that most people don’t know where price is heading. While Fibonacci and other linear type methods work it never gelled with me. I started by going deep into the fundamentals of momentum with an understanding that an object in motion heading in a particular direction tends to stay heading in that direction (until something derails it). Price, in my opinion, is no different.
Price can move up, down and sideways. And it moves in a wave, getting stronger over time until eventually pulling back and starting over again. In my mind, the compression of price and the relationship of that pressure to various lengths of time as well as RSI, ADX and DMI across these same time frames gives you a view on how the underlying price momentum is building up and releasing. For trading you want to be building a trade when pressure starts to build and you want to take profits when the wave starts to pull back and build for the next cycle.
Each dot represents a length of the momentum indicator and the line inside the oscillator is a weighted composite of the underlying momentum structure for each of the lengths selected. A trade follows the directional alignment of the line (red = down, yellow = neutral / chop, green = up) and the dots should be aligned from the bottom to the top (bright green = very bullish, dark green = neutral / bullish, dark red = neutral / bearish, bright red = very bearish). When the line and the dots are aligned you will have a high probability trade.
The backtest results below are based on 2 years of backtesting, using a 2 contract trade on a 100K account. While the absolute return is not meaningful the win rate and PF are great for a trade on CL on this timeframe. The tool can be used on any asset over any timeframe in a multitude of combinations.

Strategy Myth-Busting #3 - BB_BUY+SuperTrend - [MYN]This is part of a new series we are calling "Strategy Myth-Busting" where we take open public manual trading strategies and automate them. The goal is to not only validate the authenticity of the claims but to provide an automated version for traders who wish to trade autonomously.
Our third one we are automating is one of the strategies from "The Best 3 Buy And Sell Indicators on Tradingview + Confirmation Indicators ( The Golden Ones ))" from "Online Trading Signals (Scalping Channel)". No formal backtesting was done by them so wanted to validate their claims.
If you know of or have a strategy you want to see myth-busted or just have an idea for one, please feel free to message me.
This strategy uses a combination of 2 open-source public indicators:
BB_Buy and Sell by guikroth (default settings)
SuperTrend from TradingView's Technicals (default settings)
Trading Rules
15 min candles
Long
Long condition when BB_BUY indicates buy signal and SuperTrend is green
Short
Short condition when BB_BUY indicates Sell signal and SuperTrend is red
V Bottom & V Top Pattern [Misu]█ This indicator shows V bottom & V top patterns as well as potential V bottom & V top.
These V bottom & V top are chart powerful reversal patterns.
They appear in all markets and time-frames, but due to the nature of the aggressive moves that take place when a market reverses direction, it can be difficult to identify this pattern in real-time.
To address this problem, I added potential V pattern as well as the confirmed one.
█ Usages:
You can use V top & V bottoms for reversal zones.
You can use it for scalping strategies, as a main buy & sell signal.
Potential V patterns can be used to anticipate the market, in addition to volatility or momentum indicators, for example.
█ How it works?
This indicator uses pivot points to determine potential V patterns and confirm them.
Paramaters are available to filter breakouts of varying strengths.
Patterns also have a "max number bars" to be validated.
█ Why a Strategy type indicator?
Due to the many different parameters, this indicator is a strategy type.
This way you can overview the best settings depending on your pair & timeframe.
Parameters are available to filter.
█ Parameters:
Deviation: Parameter used to calculate parameters.
Depth: Parameter used to calculate parameters.
Confirmation Type: Type of signal used to confirme the pattern.
> Mid Pivot: pattern will confirm on mid pivot breakout.
> Opposit Pivot: pattern will confirm on opposit pivot breakout.
> No confirmation: no confirmation.
Lenght Avg Body: Lenght used to calculate the average body size.
First Breakout Factor: This factor multiplied by the "body avg" filters out the non-significant breakout of potential V pattern.
Confirmation Breakout Factor: This factor multiplied by the "body avg" filters out the non-significant breakout for the confirmation.
Max Bars Confirmation: The maximum number of bars needed to validate the pattern.
QG-Trend Pullback StrategyI wanted to test the pullback strategy shown by TradePro and 5 minute scalping channels on the YT.
So here it is, worked on USDCHF pair best and not so much on other forex pairs on 15 min or 5 min charts as shown in strategy.
Entry rules for Long:
Price above EMA200 or G channel as trend filter
Donchian trend ribbon in retracement or red in color
Wavetrend cross below a threshold level below zeroline.
Opposite rules for Shorts.
The SL and TP based on the ATR multiplier and a TP as RR ratio to SL.
Attaching the equity curve on USDCHF 15 min chart where it worked best.
WAE TrendA trend follower based on Waddah Attar Explosion, a day trading system based on MACD and BB combined. This also has filters based on RSI, EMA and ADX, and stop losses and ADX for exits.
This approach seems to work well for scalping, in 5m to 1h candles. Possibly could be used for swing as well, but haven't tried it.
3C Reversal Filter v1In essence, this strategy is a heavily smoothed range filter.
This strategy includes a backtester and ability to connect it with your 3 commas bot(See adviced settings below)
The calculation steps below gives an example on how signals are made:
1. Calculating the price movement using ATR, % change, standard deviation etc..
2. Obtaining the smoothed price using SMA.
3. Obtaining the absolute value of the bar-to-bar change.
4. Applying EMA, twice, to the values in step 3.
5. Obtaining the slow trailing line by multiplying the result of step 4 by 1.618.
Think of it as a heavily smoothed price range
If the 1.618 value looks familiar, that’s because it’s used in Fibonacci sequences. You can of course experiment with other values. I’ve seen good results with both 2.618 and 4.236
What does the strategy do?
1. Determine Trend Detection
2. Detect Short-Term Momentum
3commas settings:
-For now you can only use simple bots.
-Create LONG and SHORT bots for the coins you like to trade and set up alerts(You can send long and short signal from the same alert)
-Set TP to 50% the strategy will handle buys and exits based on your inputs.
-Set safety orders to 0. I might add DCA to the strategy if testing proves that to be a good solution.
-When you have made the bots input the bot ID and token adress in the settings of the strategy.
-When creating the alert use this webhook :https://3commas.io/trade_signal/trading_view
-In the message field you use {{strategy.order.alert_message}} as the placeholder.
Mean reversal QFL v3My aim is to make the bots trade as you would trading QFL manually and “by the book” or at least to my experience and understanding from the material out there of how you should plan a QFL trade.
Im absolutely not a pro trader, I have made my share of costly mistakes trying to be clever or Beeing impatient resulting in painful losses. QFL is we’re I’ve had consistently good results tough.
Is this where I have to say I’m not a financial advisor and all that? Well I’m not. As always Do your own research and backtest, backtest, backtest.
First: I believe no bot strategy are set and forget, while they can run unattended 80-90% of the time you're always going to find yourself in a situation where you will have to manually handle a bad deal. It would also make sense to be somewhat involved in the really good trades making the most out of them. That’s why understanding the strategy the bot Is using is really important, hence why I prefer QFL. It's an easy concept to understand, and proved to be a safe way of making steady profit in pretty much all market conditions if done right.
Some changes in how aggressive you are might be needed if you are the impatient kind of trader who needs to see a lot of deals happening. But it is an added risk. In those cases Luc would advise to start “nibbling” but that would be hard to implement in a bot but I will see if that’s something I can implement.
Same goes for going the more conservative route when market conditions calls for it.
QFL stands for Quickfingersluc, and sometimes it is referred to as the Base Strategy or Mean Reversals. Its main idea is about identifying the moment of panic selling and buying below the base level and utilizing Safety orders.
Base level or Support Level refers to the lowest price level that was reached before the moment the price started increasing again. At that level, you can notice that buyers of some cryptocurrencies make a strong reaction.
As a bit of a learning material i want to make a few points on important factors in trading using the QFL strategy:
• Identify strong bases
• Read the history of the chart
• No emotions
Trading QFL using a bot has it’s limitations:
· Some of the bases are questionable but im constantly trying to improve this
· The strategy don’t take into consideration chart history(success rate)*
· You need to follow a predefined (by you) buying ladder, hence not considering a particular coin's average price movement, which may vary quite a lot. This why I for now has limited the strategy to SIMPLE bots. So that unique alerts can be created for each pair.
· A set Take profit %, possibly making you miss out on higher profits(This is easy to change during a trade though), and no chance of selling in layers(This is coming soon).
1. Some of the bases are questionable
The strategy will start trades of bases that you wouldn’t consider being a strong base(or a base at all) when looking at the chart.
For those not as familiar with QFL. What is a base, and what qualifies as a strong base?
• A base is also called the Support Level, which is the lowest price level that was reached before the price started turning and increasing again.
• A strong base is recognized by a steep fall in price after breaking the base(Panic), followed by a big reaction pump.
• The reaction pump is the most important factor to say that it is a strong base.
• And also the last base, the one you are trading of is the one that counts
Tip: Look for V shapes on the chart, easy to spot when zoomed out.
2. The integrated signals don’t take into consideration chart history(success rate)*
How can you assess the success rate by looking at the chart?
After finding the bases based on the criterias from the 1st point. Looking at the, how many times did it respect the base after breaking it? 7/10, 8/10, 9/10 times? Great! Chances of the next trade also respecting the base is big, and I would consider raising the TP on that deal. Any lower than that I would keep a really close eye on the deal, or even consider closing the deal. And again remember the last base is the one that counts. If all the others are nice strong bases but that last one you are about to take a trade off is no good the base is invalidated so be cautious.
3. You need to follow a predefined (by you) buying ladder
Crypto is volatile, and there is a huge variation in price movements on all the coins.
Trading manually, looking at the chart gives you a good idea on how much a coin on avg. drops below base, and how big the following reaction is. This gives you an indication on how deep you need to set your layers, and where you can take profit.
Using the strategy you have the backtester to see how much max deviation has been in the past so that you can figure out what the optimal max deviation is.
4. A set Take profit %, possibly making you miss out on higher profits(This is easy to change during a trade though), and no chance of selling in layers.
Not going to say to much about this other than what I often do is:
When a bot has started a trade I usually take a look at the chart. If I like what I see, nice chart history, success rate and trading of a strong previous base etc, with the current base break resulting in a panic drop I will consider increasing the TP so that it will make more profit. This can be a bit risky but also very rewarding. Imagine filling all safeties and then selling just below base! Massive profits!! (Gotta be honest though, almost never stretch it that far with a bot though, but it is a possibility) .
If you have studied the chart and concluded that this particular trade has a 90% chance of success, there isn’t really any reason not to place TP just below base. This is where I would like to have the option of layering my sell orders as well so its something im working on implementing.
Trailing is an option in 3commas, but it’s slow to place orders making you miss a selling opportunity when the coin makes a sudden spike up.
ABOUT THIS STRATEGY
In this strategy we can also reverse the strategy and go short. But i must warn you that that is alot riskier.
QFL is meant to be used on higher TF's like 1hr, 2hr and 4hr. But this strategy also work well on lower Timeframes.
The script also simulates DCA strategy with parameters used in 3commas DCA bots for futures trading.
Experiment with parameters to find your trading setup.
Beware how large your total leveraged position is and how far can market go before you get liquidated!
Do that with the help of futures liquidation calculators you can find online!
Included:
An internal average price and profit calculating, instead of TV`s native one, which is subject to severe slippage.
A graphic interface, so levels are clearly visible and back-test analyzing made easier.
Long & Short direction of the strategy.
Table display a summary of past trades
Vertical colored lines appear when the new maximum deviation from the original price has
been reached
All the trading happens with total account capital, and all order sizes inputs are expressed in percent.
How to use:
- Add the script to the current chart
- Open the strategy settings
-Tweak the settings to to your liking.
-Make a SIMPLE bot in 3commas and use the same settings as you did in tradingview if you only want the strategy to send signals to open a deal and let 3commas handle the rest.
If you check safety orders, Take profit deal stop and Stop loss. The strategy will send all the orders to 3 commas. If that’s what you want set TP in 3commas to 50% set number of safety orders to 0 and keep stop loss unchecked.
- Insert bot details using the deal start condition message found in your 3commas bot.
- When happy, right click on the "..." next to the strategy name, then "Add alert'".
- Under "Condition", on the second line, chose "Any alert () function call". Add the webhook from 3commas( 3commas.io ), give it a name, use {{strategy.order.alert_message}} as a placeholder message and "create".
In the future this signal might make it to the 3commas marketplace. You can then subscribe to that signal where I have cherrypicked coins based on thorough backtesting and optimization.
