Overview
Tracks opening ranges across three global futures sessions (RTH, Globex, Europe) using 30-second precision sampling for NQ futures. Provides high/low/mid levels, 65-point projection intervals, and breakout detection for range-based trading.
What Makes This Unique
30-Second Precision: Uses request.security_lower_tf() to sample the first 30 seconds of each session, capturing exact opening range high/low rather than relying on larger timeframe bars.
Multi-Session Tracking: Simultaneously monitors RTH (8:30 AM CT), Globex (5:00 PM CT), and Europe (2:00 AM CT) opening ranges with independent calculations for 24-hour futures coverage.
65-Point Projections: RTH-specific feature plots 5 extension levels above/below opening range at 65-point intervals (+65, +130, +195, +260, +325). Calibrated for NQ futures point movement characteristics.
Adjustable Scalp Levels: Customizable +/- point lines from RTH range (default 10 points, adjustable) for precise entry/exit management on NQ volatility.
How It Works
Opening Range Calculation:
Session detection: hour(time, "America/Chicago") + minute(time) * 0.01
30s data request: request.security_lower_tf(syminfo.tickerid, "30S", high/low)
Range capture: ta.valuewhen(session_time == start_time AND second == 0, array.get(data, 0), 0)
Midpoint: (high + low) / 2
At each session start (RTH: 8:30:00 CT, Globex: 17:00:00 CT, Europe: 02:00:00 CT), the indicator captures the first 30-second bar's high and low, then plots these as persistent levels.
65-Point Intervals (RTH only):
Level_up[n] = RTH_high + (65 × n) where n = 1,2,3,4,5
Level_down[n] = RTH_low - (65 × n)
Example: If RTH high = 21,000

+65 level = 21,065
+130 level = 21,130
+195 level = 21,195
+260 level = 21,260
+325 level = 21,325

Breakout Detection:
Break_up = ta.crossover(close, session_high)
Break_down = ta.crossunder(close, session_low)
Adjustable Point Offset:
Point_high = RTH_high + point_offset (default 10.0, adjustable)
Point_low = RTH_low - point_offset
Statistics:
Range width = session_high - session_low (displayed in table)
How to Use
Session-Based Levels: Each session's opening range represents institutional price discovery. RTH (8:30 AM CT) shows New York institutional activity, Globex (5:00 PM CT) reflects Asian flows, Europe (2:00 AM CT) captures European positioning. Use as dynamic support/resistance.
Breakout Trading: Visual signals mark opening range breakouts. Monitor NQ volatility—narrow ranges often precede larger moves.
65-Point Targets: After RTH breakout, use 65-point intervals as profit targets. These fixed intervals align with common NQ institutional order flow levels. Example: after +65 hit, next target is +130.
Gap Analysis: Compare overnight sessions to RTH. Large gaps between sessions often fill toward RTH opening range.
Scalping: Adjustable point offset (default 10 for NQ) provides tight profit targets. Adjust based on NQ volatility—decrease to 5-7 for low volatility, increase to 15-20 for high volatility days.
Key Settings
Session Toggles: Enable/disable RTH, Globex, Europe individually. For RTH-only traders, disable Globex and Europe.
65-Point Lines: RTH-exclusive, off by default. Shows 5 levels above/below opening range at 65-point intervals specifically calibrated for NQ movement patterns.
Point Offset (10.0): Adjustable for NQ scalping levels. Lower values (5-7) for tight scalps, higher (15-20) for volatile days.
Range Boxes: Optional visual highlighting with adjustable transparency (50-99%).
Statistics Table: Shows session high, low, range width. Position adjustable.
Price Labels: Show/hide actual price values on all levels.
Why Protected Source
The 30-second data aggregation using request.security_lower_tf() with time-based session detection, 65-point interval projection system calibrated specifically for NQ futures volatility characteristics, and multi-session concurrent tracking represent proprietary implementation methods developed for NQ trading.
