Gap & Flush Detector highlights sudden bullish and bearish momentum moves
at the open and during intraday trading.
It detects:
Gap Down – Price opens significantly below the previous close
Gap Up – Price opens significantly above the previous close
Flush Down – Sharp intraday drop over a short number of bars
Flush Up – Strong intraday rally over a short number of bars
Each direction has its own sensitivity settings, allowing you to tune
long and short signals independently.
How to Use (Idea-Based)
This indicator is designed for momentum awareness, not as a standalone strategy.
Example ideas:
• Watch for Gap signals at session open to gauge early sentiment.
• Use Flush signals to identify fast breakdowns or breakouts.
• Combine with support/resistance, VWAP, EMA trend, or volume for confirmation.
• Increase percentage thresholds to filter noise.
• Lower thresholds for faster, more frequent signals.
