ICT Intraday ModelHere's a full breakdown of how the ICT Intraday Model Works **Bias Engine (the brain)** Pulls Daily candle data (configurable to any timeframe) and reads whether the market is making higher-highs + higher-lows (bullish) or lower-highs + lower-lows (bearish). This becomes the directional filter — the model will only take longs in a bullish structure and shorts in a bearish one. The bias displays live in a table in the top-right corner of your chart. **Market Structure (BOS / MSS)** Detects swing pivots on the intraday chart. A Break of Structure (BOS) means the existing trend is continuing. A Market Structure Shift (MSS) means the trend is reversing — this is the ICT confirmation signal that smart money has changed hands. Both are labeled directly on the chart. **Order Blocks** Identifies the last opposing candle before a displacement move (a candle whose body is 1.5x larger than the 14-bar average). That opposing candle becomes the order block — the zone where institutional orders were placed. Bullish OBs are drawn in teal, bearish in red. When price trades through the zone, the box is automatically removed (mitigated). **Fair Value Gaps (FVGs)** Detects 3-candle imbalances where candle 's high doesn't overlap candle 's low, leaving an unfilled price gap. These are drawn as dashed boxes. When price fills back through the gap, the box disappears. **Liquidity Levels (BSL / SSL)** Maps the highest high (Buy-Side Liquidity — where retail longs have their stops) and lowest low (Sell-Side Liquidity — where retail shorts have their stops) over a rolling lookback window. These are plotted as dotted lines with price labels. When price wicks past one and closes back inside, a ⚡ Sweep label fires. **Killzones** Highlights the four ICT session windows — Asia (gray), London (purple), NY AM (blue), NY PM (orange) — as background shading. The model only generates trade signals inside these windows, because that's when institutional order flow is active. **Trade Setup Engine** A signal fires when all four conditions align simultaneously: HTF bias agrees, intraday market structure confirms (BOS or MSS), price is touching a PD array (order block or FVG), and you're inside a killzone. When triggered it auto-draws the entry label, stop loss at the session extreme (BSL for shorts, SSL for longs), and three take-profit levels at your chosen R:R ratios (default 2R, 3R, 5R). It uses a SuperTrend foundation layer with momentum filtering, volume confirmation, and, most importantly, an adaptive engine that continuously adjusts its own parameters based on recent performance. It fires entry arrows on the chart while running a background simulation to score how the current settings are performing — then quietly adjusts itself over time. Two systems run in parallel: the signal engine that produces the arrows you see, and a background test matrix that opens and closes simulated trades to feed the optimizer. The optimizer adjusts parameters, which produces better signals, which feeds back into better learning. The Core Concept At its heart this is a SuperTrend indicator — a volatility band that flips bullish or bearish as price crosses it. This is the first filter. The script does not want to give random calls in bearish structure or random puts in bullish structure. --- # 3. ATR ATR = Average True Range. This tells the script how much price is normally moving. It uses ATR for three big things: ### A. Candle quality If the candle body is too small compared to ATR, the script treats it as weak. ### B. Equal highs / equal lows It uses ATR tolerance to decide if two highs are close enough to count as equal highs, or two lows as equal lows. ### C. Stop loss and targets It uses ATR to avoid: * stop too tight * stop too huge This is why V3 is better than older versions. --- # 4. Volume filter The script checks whether current volume is above average. ### Why A breakout or rejection with no volume is weak. ### How It compares current volume to a volume SMA. BOS ## BOS = Break of Structure This means price has broken an important prior swing. ### Bullish BOS Price closes above prior swing high. ### Bearish BOS Price closes below prior swing low. ### Why it matters BOS means trend continuation or control confirmation. It tells you: * buyers are pushing through structure or * sellers are pushing through structure In this script, BOS helps trigger entries. --- # 9. CHoCH ## CHoCH = Change of Character This is an earlier shift signal. ### Bullish CHoCH Price breaks upward through prior structure while short-term conditions improve. ### Bearish CHoCH Price breaks downward through prior structure while short-term conditions weaken. ### Why it matters CHoCH often appears before a bigger move. It is like the first warning that market behavior is changing. --- # 10. EQH / EQL ## EQH = Equal Highs Two highs are close enough to be treated as the same high. ## EQL = Equal Lows Two lows are close enough to be treated as the same low. ### Why they matter Equal highs and equal lows often hold liquidity. That means: * stops are sitting there * price may sweep them before moving This helps you understand why a breakout or fakeout can happen. --- # 11. Reclaim and rejection logic This is very important because price often reacts around key levels. --- ## Reclaim PDH Price dips to or below PDH, then closes back above it. ### Meaning Buyers defended the level. That is bullish. --- ## Reject PDH Price reaches or crosses PDH, then closes back below it. ### Meaning Sellers defended the level. That is bearish. --- ## Reclaim EQ / Reject EQ Same logic, but at equilibrium. ### Meaning This tells the script whether price is: * getting accepted above value or * failing back below value --- # 12. Wick character The script also measures wick behavior. --- ## Bear rejection candle Upper wick is larger than body and candle closes red. ### Meaning Buyers tried to push higher, but sellers hit it. --- ## Bull rejection candle Lower wick is larger than body and candle closes green. ### Meaning Sellers pushed down, but buyers bought it back up. These are useful for identifying failed pushes. --- # 13. Location filters This is one of the best improvements in V3. This matters because not every structure break is worth trading. ### Example A call signal right under strong weekly resistance is weaker. A put signal right on top of daily support is weaker. So the script tries to trade with location awareness. --- # 14. No-trade zone This is a major improvement. The script defines a zone where trading is not attractive. Breakout and retest logic This is one of the most important parts of V3. Earlier versions could signal too early on the initial breakout. V3 improves this by using an **armed breakout + retest** model. --- ## How it works ### Bull breakout If bullish breakout conditions appear: * script “arms” a bullish setup * stores the breakout level Then it waits to see whether price comes back and holds it. Realistic stop loss model This is one of the biggest fixes in V3. Older scripts often used: * candle low for calls * candle high for puts That created unrealistic stops when candles had huge wicks. First 5-Min CandleHere's a publish-ready description: --- **First 5-Min Candle** A clean intraday bias indicator built around one simple idea: the first 5-minute candle of the regular session (9:30-9:35 AM ET) sets the tone for the day. **How it works** The indicator captures the open and close of the opening 5-minute candle and projects it as a shaded box across the rest of the session. The box acts as your anchor zone — a reference point for support, resistance, and directional bias. - Green box = bullish opening candle (close > open) - Red box = bearish opening candle (close < open) Two vertical time markers help structure your trading window: - **Decision** (10:00 AM ET) — end of the observation period - **Target** (11:30 AM ET) — minimum hold target for the trade **Dynamic bias label** After the decision time, a live LONG / SHORT / WAIT label tracks the current bar's close relative to the opening range: - Close above the box = LONG - Close below the box = SHORT - Close inside the box = WAIT The label updates dynamically on every bar, so it adapts to price reclaiming or losing the range — no static snapshots that get burned by manipulation candles. **How to use it** 1. Let the 9:30 candle print and establish the range 2. Watch price action from 9:30-10:00 relative to the box 3. If price holds above the box or uses it as support, look for long entries 4.
