Astro: Planetary Longitudes

Bitcoin / TetherUSBinance

Opis

Planetary longitude is a measurement of the position of a planet in its orbit around the Sun, expressed in degrees of arc along the plane of the planet's orbit. It is one of the fundamental coordinates used in astronomy to describe the position of a planet or other celestial object.
The concept of planetary longitude is important in astrology, where it is used to determine the position of the planets in the zodiac. In this context, the longitude is measured along the ecliptic, which is the apparent path of the Sun on the celestial sphere. Astrologers use the position of the planets in the zodiac to make predictions and interpretations about personality traits, life events, earthquakes, market events, and other aspects of human experience.
This indicator includes geocentric/heliocentric longitude lines with retrograde identification, Vedic Nakshatras, and astrological zodiac & aspects for each of the 9 planets plus the Sun & Moon. Hover over labels for additional information.

Hello Joey,

Receiving error:
sunlon = AL.getsun(geoout, day, dayr, latitude, longitude, tz)
Error on bar 4: Loop takes too long to execute (> 500 ms)

@bgdakm, If you are just trying to load it on a chart, then what timeframe & ticker gave issues? I just tried it on daily SPDN (fund), DJI (index), and BTC (24/7 crypto) without issues. Instead, if you are getting errors because you edited the code, then please message me directly to discuss.

@BarefootJoey, did you try geocentric with NYC coordinates ? I just tried all indexes you mentioned including SPX and same issue. its Daily TF. Thanks
BarefootJoey
@bgdakm, yes geo/helio switch works but its still reversed until the next update

Hi BarefoodJoe,
May can you check the indicator? im not sure if the longitudes are correct: astro.com/swisseph/ahel/2000/ahel2024.pdf or are the EPHEMERIS and this indicator different?
BarefootJoey
@kenscho, geo/helio switch is reversed and has not been fixed yet. Also, this is not ephemeris powered so it will not match up perfectly when looking at the number data points, however, visually it should look the exact same on the chart.
Whyparty
Hi there,

Thank you so much for this indicator! I have a question, I can’t wrap my head around the Earth longitude on the geocentric view, could you please describe how it is calculated?
How does Earth changing its longitude while being in the center of everything?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Greg
BarefootJoey
@Whyparty, Geo/Helio switch is reversed right now. So if you want Geo location, switch it to Helio, and vice a versa. Its an old bug affecting all of my Astro: indicators at the moment and its on my to-do list. Thank you for the comment on this particular indicator so that any other traders reading this description page can be aware of the discrepancy.
