How to project time frames using Elliott Wave Theory connecting trend lines:
Finding Wave 3: Draw a trend line from beginning of Wave 1 to end of Wave 2. Project this line off the ending of Wave 1. Wave 3 will end at the intersection of this line. Project the following lengthens from the end of Wave 2 to find Wave 3: (a) Length of Wave 1, (b) Length of Wave 1 x 1.618 or (c) Length of Wave 1 x 2.618.
Which ever line intersects the projected trend line, that is the distance Wave 3 "should" travel and "should" correlate with the time at the bottom of the chart.
Finding Wave 5: Draw a trend line from beginning of Wave 2 to end of Wave 4. Project this line off the ending of Wave 3. Wave 5 will end at the intersection of this line. Project the following lengthens from the end of Wave 4 to find Wave 5: (a) Length of Wave 1, (b) Length of Wave 1 x 1.618 or (c) Length of Wave 1 x 2.618 or the length of the beginning go Wave 1 to the beginning of End of Wave 3 x 0.618
Which ever line intersects the projected trend line, that is the distance Wave 3 "should" travel and "should" correlate with the time at the bottom of the chart.
