I'm not a pro but I will say for trends you need to look at longer time frames. try looking for trends on the 1d chart, 3d chart for long term trends. Look at small time frames for potential reversals in trends and confirm them with longer time frame trends...you will find lots of these that are disappointingly not going to follow analysis because the time period is not accurate with the longer term trends
